Verification
Verification keeps bots and raiders out by requiring every new member to take one simple action before they can see the rest of your server.
How gating works
When someone joins, the only channel they can see is #verify. The rest of the server stays hidden until they verify — so spam and raid accounts never reach your community channels.
The verify flow
In #verify, the bot posts a message with a Verify button. A new member is prompted to click it to unlock the server. On click, Power Horse grants them the Member role, which reveals the channels that role can see.
Welcome message
The welcome message fires after a member verifies — not the moment they join. That way your welcome only greets real, verified members, and your #welcome channel doesn't fill up with greetings for bots that never made it past #verify.
Locking the channels
Run /setup-channels in your server to lock #verify and #welcome (along with #faq and #get-roles) to bot-only posting, so members can't post over the verification prompt or the welcome messages.
