Server Templates

A template sets up your whole server in one step — a ready-made set of roles and a full channel structure suited to your kind of community. Pick one during onboarding and adjust anything afterwards.

What a template includes

Every template creates a set of roles (the four core roles — Admin, Moderator, Member, Muted — plus extras suited to that community) and a full channel structure organised into categories. Some roles and channels start hidden so you can reveal them when you're ready.

Fresh vs Merge install

When you apply a template, you choose how it lands on your server:

  • Fresh install — clears your existing channels and categories, then builds the template layout from scratch. Best for a brand-new or empty server.
  • Merge install — keeps your current channels and adds the template's roles and channels alongside them.

Prefer to design it yourself? Choose "wipe & build my own" to clear the server without applying any template, then create your structure by hand.

Fresh install replaces channels

A Fresh install deletes existing channels and categories before building the template. If you have channels you want to keep, use Merge instead.
